FC Bayern Munich promises to partially cover the expenses of fans for the UEFA Champions League round of 16 match.

In the first knockout stage match, the European champions will travel to London to face Arsenal.

Tickets for these matches would cost Bayern fans 75 euros, but the club has decided to cover part of the expenses, allowing the most loyal supporters to attend the match for 45 euros.

"Both this season and in the past, FC Bayern has impressed the world not only with their game but also with their fantastic fans," read an official statement.

"It is very important that fans not only support the club in the best moments but also make an effort to attend every match. Clearly, such dedication requires time and money."

"In order to thank the fans for their support in 2013, the club has decided to cover part of the expenses for fans who will attend the match against Arsenal," the club announced.

FC Bayern has been allocated just under 3,000 tickets at the Emirates Stadium, with a total cost of 90,000 euros.
