On Thursday in Spain, the last three first leg matches of the King's Cup ("Copa del Rey") quarterfinals were played.
At the "Santiago Bernabeu" stadium, Madrid's "Real" faced Pamplona's "Osasuna". The convincing victory with a score of 2-0 was achieved by the vice champions of "Primera".
The goals for the winners were scored by Karim Benzema and Jese. The Frenchman scored in the first half after a pass from Luka Modric, while the young Jese doubled the score after a great pass from Cristiano Ronaldo.
The second leg match between these teams will take place in Pamplona next week - on January 15.
In other matches, there were goalless draws between San Sebastian's "Real Sociedad" – "Villarreal" and Madrid's "Rayo Vallecano" – Valencia's "Levante".
