On Monday evening, in the city of Zurich, Switzerland, the FIFA "Ballon d'Or" awards ceremony took place, where the best football player of 2013 was finally revealed.

At this ceremony, the best football players, coaches, and trainers were awarded. In the most anticipated battle for the title of the best football player in the world, Cristiano Ronaldo emerged victorious.

In the end, Cristiano Ronaldo (27.99%) triumphed over Lionel Messi (Barcelona) and Franck Ribery (Bayern) to become the best player in the world for the second time after a four-year break.

The second place went to four-time "Golden Ball" winner L. Messi (24.72%), while F. Ribery (23.39%), who won all possible trophies last season with Bayern Munich, remained in third place.

Three candidates competed for the most beautiful goal of the year - Neymar (Barcelona), Nemanja Matic (Benfica), and Zlatan Ibrahimovic (PSG), with the latter winning the "Puskas" award for a spectacular goal scored in a friendly match against the English national team.

The best coach was the retiring Jupp Heynckes. Last season, the German led Bayern Munich to win the three most important titles - the UEFA Champions League, the German Cup, and the championship.
