In the round of 16 of the Spanish King's Cup ("Copa del Rey"), two second-leg matches were played on Tuesday evening, after which last year's cup winner, Madrid's "Atletico," advanced to the quarterfinals.

In the Spanish "Primera" league, the leader defeated the "Valencia" team 2:0 (0:0) at home and celebrated a victory in the round of 16 with an overall result of 3:1.

In the second-leg matches, Diego Godin (51 min.) and Raul Garcia (89 min.) scored goals for "Atletico" - both assisted by Gabi.

In the 89th minute of the match, "Valencia" defender Dani Parejo received a second yellow card and was sent off the field. In addition to his two yellow cards, "Valencia" players received four more yellow cards, while "Atletico" received none.

In the other round of 16 match in Almeria, the local team "Almeria" and Santander's "Racing" played to a 1:1 draw, but "Racing" advanced to the next round. The Santander players had won the first match at home with a score of 2:0.

On Wednesday evening, four more second-leg matches of the round of 16 will be played, with last year's cup finalist, Madrid's "Real," also joining the competition.
