The most productive player of the last season in the Lithuanian championship, Nerijus Valskis, will most likely end up as the second most powerful player in the Romanian league. The attacking midfielder is close to reaching an agreement with the Universitatea Craiova club.
A few days ago, Valskis had traveled to the Romanian capital's highest league team, "Dinamo" Bucharest, but negotiations with the club's leaders ended unsuccessfully. Although "Dinamo" coach Flavius Stoican wanted to acquire the Lithuanian, problems arose due to the contract conditions.
If this time an agreement is reached, the former Marijampolė "Sūduva" player will leave for a training camp in Turkey with his new team mates as soon as Thursday.
Currently, in the Liga II championship, Universitatea is in fourth place with 22 points. However, the team has been strengthened by several capable players this month, so there are hopes of securing a promotion to the top division.
