Last season's UEFA Champions League winners suffered a somewhat unexpected 3-0 loss against Red Bull Salzburg's players.
Among the ranks of the Austrian club were Sadio Mane, Jonathan Soriano, and Robert Zulj. It must be noted that J. Soriano scored a goal from the penalty spot in the 21st minute.
This season, Salzburg's club had been struggling in the Europa League qualifiers and faced Vilnius's "Žalgiris", which they eliminated from the tournament with a combined score of 7-0.
