London's "Chelsea" club received bad news - forward Fernando Torres will miss the next few weeks due to injury.
This was confirmed by "Blues" manager Jose Mourinho after the victorious match against "Manchester United". The Spaniard appeared on the field for only 79 minutes, but still managed to suffer a knee injury.
"Unfortunately, Fernando has problems with his cruciate ligaments, so he will be out of the lineup for a few weeks," Mourinho told journalists.
"Now in the next few matches we will rely on two forwards - Samuel Eto'o and Demba Ba. I hope they won't disappoint me," concluded the 50-year-old Portuguese.
This season, F. Torres, wearing the London team's shirt, appeared on the field 23 times and scored eight goals.
