On Tuesday, 24 European clubs eligible to play in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League were divided into two groups. After this division, it became clear that the Lithuanian champions FBK "Kaunas" ended up in a group with last season's tournament winners "Liverpool", so they will not be able to face the renowned English club in the first round.

The draw ceremony, where these clubs will be paired, will take place on Friday at 12:00 Lithuania time in Nyon, Switzerland.

The first round of the first qualifying stage matches will be played on July 12-13, with the second leg matches scheduled for July 19-20. The first matches of the second qualifying stage will take place on July 26-27, with the return games being played on August 2-3.
