On Wednesday, the football club currently in ninth place in the "A League" officially announced that they have terminated the contract with 24-year-old striker Denis Vasilkov. According to the team's management, the striker did not live up to the expectations placed on him.
In preseason friendly matches, he scored goals and was one of the main players in the Šiauliai team, but at the beginning of the season, the striker suffered an injury, which, despite healing, he was unable to regain his previous athletic form.
In 14 matches for Šiauliai, D. Vasilkovas only started in two matches. In five matches, he appeared on the field as a substitute for his teammates. This season, D. Vasilkovas scored one goal, which he did in the first round of matches against the FBK "Kaunas" club, which Šiauliai lost 5-1.
