On Thursday evening, the third participant of the Italian Cup semi-final was revealed.
Fiorentina's players, coached by Vincenzo Montella, defeated the "Siena" team in front of their own fans with a score of 2-1.
The hosts had a good start to the match - striker Josip Iličič put "Viola" ahead in the 20th minute.
In the second half, the score became level after Guillermo Giacomazzi's precise shot.
However, Fiorentina's defender Marvin Compper restored the advantage for the hosts in the 76th minute. It was later revealed that this goal paved the way for V. Montella's team to the semi-final.
The last quarterfinal between the "Napoli" and "Lazio" clubs will be played next Wednesday.
Joining "Roma" and "Udinese" in the semi-finals will be "Fiorentina".
