Chelsea will try to buy Shevchenko © EuroFootball.com

The English newspaper "Mirror" reported that "Chelsea" owner Roman Abramovich wants to have the top scorer in Serie A, Andrei Shevchenko, in his team.

It is believed that "Chelsea" could offer 20 million pounds and the Argentine Hernan Crespo to AC Milan for Shevchenko.

The latter has not been very successful in London so far, and although he has scored 9 goals, he rarely played due to constant injuries.

Shevchenko's contract with Ukraine's club continues for two more seasons, so "Chelsea" hopes that Milan would be willing to pay money for him.

On the other hand, Milan is currently successful in their pursuit of the Italian champion title this season, Shevchenko is scoring many goals, and it is questionable whether anyone would want to change anything in a club that is playing so well.
