Another defender is leaving London's Chelsea club - Michael Essien will now defend the honor of Milan.

This season, the footballer did not find a place in the main squad of the European League winners, so Jose Mourinho decided to give up the services of the Ghanaian player.

Officially, it has not been confirmed yet, but it is believed that the Ghana national team player cost about 3 million euros to the Italian giants.

"Milan has been my dream team since childhood," - said the 31-year-old footballer upon arriving in Milan to sign the contract.

M. Essien played for Chelsea since 2005, when he moved from Lyon. Last season, he defended the colors of Real Madrid on loan.

Throughout his time in the "Blues" team, M. Essien stepped onto the field 252 times and punished opponents' goals with 25 accurate strikes.
