"Everton" club confirmed the acquisition of Monaco's forward Lacina Traore on Friday on a loan basis.
The 23-year-old African moved to Monaco only at the beginning of this January from the club "Anzhi" in Makhachkala.
Due to limited opportunities in the Monaco team, club officials decided to loan out the tall, 203 cm tall footballer to another team.
Initially, rumors spread that the services of the forward were being sought by Sam Allardyce's "West Ham" team, but "The Toffees" also joined the fight for L.Traore.
This is the second purchase by manager Roberto Martinez this winter. The team was also supplemented by Moscow's "Spartak" midfielder Aiden McGeady.
