C. Marchisio after the draw with "Lazio": we could have won in the remaining ten © EuroFootball.com

On Saturday, in the capital of Italy, Antonio Conte's pupils, with only ten players left, played a 1-1 draw with the "Lazio" team.

The home team took the lead after Antonio Candreva scored a penalty from 11 meters, but an impressive header by Fernando Llorente equalized the match.

"Just three days ago, we lost in the quarterfinals of the Italian Cup to the "Roma" team, so we returned craving only for victory," the goalkeeper shared his thoughts after the match.

"We showed character and confidence in our abilities. It's a pity that playing 11 against 11, we didn't show a high tempo, but with only ten players left, we showed what we are capable of."

"When Gianluigi Buffon got a red card, I went to talk to the referee, because a couple of years ago I had a very similar situation with the "Inter" goalkeeper, but he stayed on the field. I wanted to find out what the difference was between these two incidents."

"This match showed that we are strong and always strive to achieve our goal," reassured C. Marchisio.

The loss in Rome ended a streak of 12 consecutive wins for "Juventus" in the Italian championship.
