Dortmund's "Borussia" club defender Jakub Blaszczykowski has confirmed that he will not appear on the field this season.
In his social media account, the Pole announced that he had a cruciate ligament injury in his left leg.
Kuba suffered the injury in Saturday's Bundesliga championship match against the Augsburg team, which ended in a 2-2 draw.
The footballer was on the field for only a few minutes and was replaced by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The 28-year-old defender has scored two goals and provided as many assists in 16 Bundesliga matches this season.
J. Blaszczykowski joins Mats Hummels, Neven Subotic, Ilkay Gundogan, and Erik Durm, who are currently unable to help the team.
