Manchester United newcomer Juan Mata claims that the "Red Devils" can still defend the title of English champions.
Last week, David Moyes' team was supplemented by a Spaniard belonging to London's Chelsea for £37.1 million sterling.
Currently, "Man Utd" is in seventh place in the Premier League and is lagging behind the leader London Arsenal by 14 points, but J.Mata is convinced that the Manchester team can still show character.
"In fact, I like the "Manchester United" club the most because of its character. Other clubs in a situation like "United" right now would hardly have a chance to return to the top spot, but I think this club can do it," the defender said at a press conference.
"The team is accustomed to fighting to the end, demonstrating a strong character, achieving a favorable result. This is the image of the "Man Utd" club - fighting for victories, titles, recovering after difficult periods," concluded the Spaniard, who will wear the jersey marked with number eight in Manchester.
It is not yet clear whether J.Mata will be registered for the Premier League match against Cardiff City tomorrow.
