On Wednesday evening, the postponed matches of the XXI round were played in the French league.
Marseille's "Olympique" players at home forced the "Valenciennes" team to surrender with a score of 2-1.
In the 31st minute, striker Andre-Pierre Gignac put the hosts ahead, but soon Arthur Masuaku equalized the score.
In the second half, goalkeeper Florian Thauvin returned the lead to the "Marseille" team. Later it turned out to be a winning goal.
This victory allowed Jose Anigo's players to rise to fifth place in the league table.
