There have been reports that London's "Arsenal" newcomer Kim Kallstrom has suffered an injury and will not be able to play for six weeks.

The Swedish national team defender officially joined the "Gunners" team on Friday. Arsene Wenger decided to borrow the player from Moscow's "Spartak" for the season.

It is believed that the "Arsenal" club knew that Kallstrom had a minor back injury, and despite medical examinations, they still decided to borrow the Swede.

However, during the first training session, just 30 minutes in, the 31-year-old player left the training ground and went for further tests.

After the tests, it was revealed that the defender, who belongs to the "Spartak" club, is injured and will be able to return to the lineup in the middle of March.

"Arsenal" players face a tough period ahead. The capital team will have two matches against "Liverpool" in the coming months, as well as a match against "Manchester United" and the UEFA Champions League round of 16 clash against the tournament champions, Bayern Munich.
