On Tuesday evening, Swansea City club announced that head coach Michael Laudrup was dismissed.

This season, the Welsh team, which has not been shining, decided to fire the Dane and appointed 34-year-old Garry Monk in his place.

M. Laudrup took charge of the "Swans" in 2012 and led the team to win the English League Cup in the 2012-2013 season.

In total, the coach managed the team in 84 matches, in which the team achieved 29 victories.

Lately, Swansea City players have been showing poor form and lost 4 out of their last 5 matches. Currently, the "Swans" are in 12th place in the Premier League with 24 points, only 2 points away from the relegation zone.

G. Monk, who will now become the head coach, has been representing Swansea City as a player since 2004 and has played in 250 matches for the team.
