Long-time Chelsea defender John Terry is set to extend his contract soon after the end of the season.
It is reported that the "Blues" captain, who earns 150,000 pounds sterling per week, wanted at least a two-year deal.
However, the management explained to him that due to the club's policy for players over 30 years old, they can only offer a contract for 12 months.
The 33-year-old J. Terry was forced to agree to this offer, and he should start his 17th season as a Chelsea player in August.
