On Wednesday, the first semi-final of the second "Coppa Italia" tournament ended with a victory for the Roma football players.
In the Italian capital, the hosts defeated Rafael Benitez's Napoli players with a score of 3 - 2.
In the 13th minute, forward Gervinho put the team ahead, and in the 32nd minute, Kevin Strootman doubled the lead.
In the second half, things took an unexpected turn when Morgan De Sanctis scored for Napoli in the 47th minute with an own goal.
Later on, in the 70th minute, keeper Dries Mertens equalized the score, completely wiping out the opponents' advantage.
However, in the 88th minute, Gervinho once again put the capital's football players ahead, giving the team the advantage going into the second leg of the semi-final match, which will be played in a week.
