Italian champion Turin club on Thursday extended contracts with two team veterans - midfielder from Czech Republic Pavel Nedved and defender from France Lilian Thuram. The new contracts for both players will be valid until 2008.
Former European Player of the Year Nedved had previously hinted at the possibility of ending his career after his contract expired in 2006, but has now decided to continue playing. This decision was also made by the 33-year-old Thuram, who has decided to stay in Turin for another year.
Both players joined Juventus in 2001: Thuram was acquired from Parma club, Nedved moved from Roma's Lazio. During their time with the team, they won the Italian championships three times, and last year they retired from their national teams after the European Championship.
