Longtime FIFA president Sepp Blatter, despite his age, is not planning to give up the opportunity to continue working in this position.
In 2015, new FIFA presidential elections will take place. It was thought that the 77-year-old Swiss would no longer seek this position, but Blatter himself is in good health and promises to participate in the elections.
"I am in good health and do not think I should be thinking about ending my work at FIFA," Blatter said. "If the association members want me to run, I will."
So far, the known person who promises to become a candidate for the FIFA presidency is former Swiss advisor Jerome Champagne.
It is also not ruled out that Michel Platini, currently serving as UEFA president, will try to extend his career as president to FIFA.
