"Porto" officially announced that they have signed a new contract with the team's midfielder Fernando. The future of the 26-year-old footballer has been uncertain for some time, as recently in the winter transfer window his services were sought after by "Manchester City". Fernando's old Brazilian contract is valid until the end of this season and it was also believed that he would part ways with Portugal in the summer, but the midfielder signed a contract until 2017. Fernando has been playing for "Porto" team since 2007. In the 131 matches he has played, the footballer has scored two goals. As several Portuguese newspapers claim, Fernando's contract includes a buyout clause of 30 million euros."
