Roberto Martinez's players dominated the majority of the match and created dangerous attacks towards Hugo Lloris' goal, but they failed to score.
Meanwhile, the hosts took advantage of the opponents' defensive mistake, when Emmanuel Adebayor put the team forward in the 65th minute.
