Former "Fiorentina" forward: G. Higuain is better than E. Cavani © EuroFootball.com

Former Argentine national team footballer Gabriel Batistuta believes that Gonzalo Higuain is a better striker at Napoli than Edinson Cavani was.

During the summer, the ranks of the Italian vice champions were left by the Uruguayan, and in his place came G. Higuain, who belongs to the Madrid "Real" club, and according to the former "Fiorentina" striker, is more versatile than E. Cavani.

"It wasn't easy for Gonzalo to replace Cavani at Napoli, but he managed to do it," said the 45-year-old former footballer.

"Higuain makes passes, returns to the center of the field, contributes to creating attacks, tries to create opportunities for his teammates, and can score goals.

"He doesn't score as many goals as Cavani, but I think Higuain is more versatile and better," Batistuta concluded.

This season, the Argentine national team striker scored 17 goals and made nine assists in 30 matches played.
