On Wednesday evening, five matches of the 26th round of the English Premier League took place, with one of them being the meeting of London's "Arsenal" and "Manchester United" footballers.

At the "Emirates" stadium, Arsene Wenger's team failed to break through David Moyes' team defense.

At the start of the match, Mikeli Arteta made a mistake, giving Robin van Persie a great opportunity, but he couldn't deceive the goalkeeper.

The game was equal - both teams created positional attacks, but they couldn't create real scoring opportunities.

In the second half, especially in the second half, the hosts took the initiative and had some decent opportunities to score, but thanks to David De Gea and Antonio Valencia, the "Red Devils" managed to keep their goal dry.

However, the guests also failed to capitalize. Robin van Persie's shot after a counter attack was brilliantly saved by Wojciech Szczesny.

Until the end of the match, neither team managed to score, so they shared a point.

Starting lineups:

"Arsenal": Szczesny, Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs, Arteta, Wilshere, Rosicky (7' Oxlade-Chamberlain), Ozil, Cazorla, Giroud.

"Man Utd": De Gea, Rafael (46' Ferdinand), Smalling, Vidic, Evra; Valencia (82' Young), Cleverley, Carrick, Mata (75' Januzaj); Rooney, van Persie.

In another match, "Tottenham" players crushed the "Newcastle" team. Two goals for the victors were scored by Emmanuel Adebayor, with Paulinho and Nacer Chadli adding one each.

At the very end of the match, the "Liverpool" team snatched victory on the road, defeating the "Fulham" footballers 3 - 2.

Steven Gerrard's converted penalty kick in the 90th minute brought the victory to the team.

Meanwhile, the match between "Stoke City" and "Swansea City" at the "Britannia" stadium ended in a 1 - 1 draw.

The matches between "Manchester City" - "Sunderland" and "Everton" - "Crystal Palace" were postponed due to poor weather conditions.
