London's head coach Arsene Wenger told journalists that in the near future, Belarusian defender Aleksandr Hleb will join the club.
Wenger stated that Arsenal has already agreed with a German club on the transfer fee (unofficial sources claim that Stuttgart will receive 7 million pounds for the defender, which is almost 35 million litas), and with the player for a contract that, according to unofficial information, will last for four years. The English media reports that the player will earn 25 thousand pounds per week (about 125 thousand litas).
"The transfer will be finalized in the coming days," Wenger is quoted in the German press. "He can start packing his things for the trip to London."
It is believed that A. Hleb will be officially presented at the London club next weekend.
