Bayern Munich's honorary president Franz Beckenbauer would like Germany's champions not to offer an overwhelming salary to Toni Kroos.
The 24-year-old midfielder's contract will expire after the next season and the footballer demands a significant increase in salary.
"A decision must be made when someone's demands exceed understandable limits. There is no player worth dismantling the entire salary structure for," Beckenbauer said.
"There are no irreplaceable players. If a player really wants to stay at Bayern, I can advise them not to be greedy."
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich's sports director Matthias Sammer mentioned that Kroos will not leave anywhere during the off-season.
"Toni's contract is valid until the summer of 2015 and by that time he will remain our player.
"We are confident that he will continue his career at Bayern Munich."
