Madrid's "Atletico" forward Diego Costa does not promise to show any mercy to the opponents ahead of the upcoming derby.
The footballer stated that if necessary, he could strike his opponent. In addition, the forward believes that his opponents would do the same.
"Atletico" and "Real" met in the "Copa del Rey" semi-finals, where Diego Costa could be seen grappling with the royal club's defender Sergio Ramos.
"I'm not a saint on the field, but I do not seek fights during matches," Costa said.
"In the previous matches, we wrestled and fought with Ramos. If it's necessary to hit him, I will do it. He would do the same, but everything has its limits," said Diego Costa.
"I am very excited about the upcoming derby. After the match with 'Osasuna', I was already thinking about the next encounter. We will step onto the field as if it is our last match."
"We know that this match will be very important, but we cannot lose hope after just one game," continued the 25-year-old forward.
"If we lose, our chances of winning the league will decrease. To be honest, we never realistically fought for the title. We are doing well and with a victory, we could once again enter the race for the 'Primera' champions' title," concluded the footballer.
The Madrid derby will be played on Sunday at 18:00 Lithuanian time at the "Vicente Calderon" stadium.
