Wednesday continues the UEFA Champions League battles. Today the last two matches of the first round of the knockout stage will be played.

In Germany, a duel awaits between the local "Schalke" from Gelsenkirchen and the players of Madrid's "Real", while in Istanbul, London's "Chelsea" will try to prove superiority against "Galatasaray".

Gelsenkirchen "Schalke" - Madrid "Real" The first clash will take place in front of "Schalke" fans. The favorite is clear - the Madrid "Real" club, however, under Jens Keller's guidance, the Germans can resist the "white" army, which has only conceded three goals in their last 14 matches.

The Gelsenkirchen city team competed in the Champions League group stage with London's "Chelsea", "Basel", and Bucharest's "Steaua". In Group E, the Germans finished in second place. Meanwhile, "Real" had an easier time in the group stage and confidently took first place with 16 points.

In the German championship, "Schalke" is doing quite well. After playing 22 matches, they are in fourth place, but in the last few matches, J. Keller's team failed to defeat "Mainz" players, although in the last four games, "Schalke" didn't lose a single point and celebrated victories.

Prediction for the match: Germany - this country is not particularly successful for the "Real" club, however, with the current form, the "white" team can defeat their opponents with a score of 0-3.

Galatasaray" in Istanbul - Chelsea" in London In Turkey, an intense or very boring battle awaits. The London club coached by Jose Mourinho will begin the knockout stage away, and in case of failure, they will have a great chance to rehabilitate at home, but a clear favorite cannot be named in this pair.

In the mentioned Group E, the "Chelsea" team finished in first place with 12 points. The "Blues" won four games and suffered two defeats. However, in Group B, "Galatasaray" had to try especially hard to reach the knockout stage. In the last matches, they defeated Turin's "Juventus" and secured a place in the next stage with a one-point advantage.

In the country's championship, the Turkish champions currently hold second place, with "Fenerbahce" in the leader's position. This weekend in the "Super Lig" championship, the Istanbul derby took place, where Roberto Mancini's players celebrated a minimal victory against "Besiktas", who will host the "Chelsea" match at the same fortress.

Prediction for the match: London's team should not expect an easy walk, and the fiercely determined fans of "Galatasaray" should not expect a poor result, so the teams will part ways with a score of 1-1.
