"Juventus" captain G. Buffon: we have not yet become Italian champions © EuroFootball.com

Last Sunday, the captain of the "Juventus" team, Gianluigi Buffon, who achieved a double-digit point advantage in the "Serie A" championship, is not in a hurry to measure himself with the winners' medals of the Italian championships.

In the 26th round, Antonio Conte's team defeated "Milan" 0-2 and increased their lead over "Roma", who are in second place and have played fewer matches, to 11 points.

The veteran, who had a lot of work to do, did not hide that one of the factors of victory was luck.

"The team withstood immense pressure and deserves praise for it, but it also did not lack success," explained the goalkeeper. "There are no favorites on the 'San Siro' field, both teams want to win desperately. We won here for the first time under the leadership of Antonio Conte."

When asked if the "Scudetto" is already in Juventus' pocket, G. Buffon remained diplomatic: "We have won important points, but we must remain vigilant."

"The championship is not over yet, and Roma, a very strong team, is not participating in other tournaments. This is a very important factor. I hope our advantage will help us in cases where we run out of strength," noted G. Buffon.

The next national championship match for Juventus will be against Fiorentina on March 9th.
