London's "Chelsea" coach Jose Mourinho spared no praise for his former protege Raphael Varane, stating that he is the best defender in the world.
Despite being only 20 years old, J. Mourinho, while coaching Madrid's "Real" club last season, gave the footballer time on the field, where he secured a spot in the starting lineup.
"I think Varane is the best center-back in the world. He is still young, but I still think he is the best defender," said the Portuguese coach.
J. Mourinho also shared his thoughts on the upcoming World Cup, emphasizing that three players could shine and should be watched carefully.
"I would say it will be Eden Hazard, as well as Neymar and Raphael Varane," concluded the strategist.
