"Manchester United" club strategist David Moyes got angry after learning that a petition had spread on the internet, in which football fans want to prevent midfielder Tom Cleverley from representing the English national team.
England's national team coach Roy Hodgson laughed at such requests. The same was done by the "Red Devils" head coach D. Moyes, who did not spare praise for his protege.
"I think the media shouldn't inflate the bubble from opinions spread on social networks, as this is not fair," said the Scot in defense of the midfielder.
"Cleverley is a great young footballer, constantly improving and dedicated to working hard in training and matches," the defender was defended by the Scot.
Meanwhile, R. Hodgson insisted that such online petitions do not concern him: "I am not excited about this. Tom deserves to be in the list of 30 people, he brings a lot of benefit to the team."
The petition spreading on social networks has already gathered 17 thousand signatures of football fans.
