In the "Premier" League of Russia, the 13th round of matches took place. In the championship, Moscow's "Lokomotiv" continues to lead confidently, followed by the capital's "Spartak" in second place, while Kazan's "Rubin" climbed to third place, with Vladikavkaz's "Alania" distancing itself from the outsiders.

The first match of the thirteenth round took place in Moscow, where two local clubs met - "Moskva" and "Torpedo". The teams, known for their unreliable defense, started the match quite actively. "Moskva" players were the first to score, with D. Kirichenko scoring a great free kick in the 41st minute. It seemed like the match would end in "Moskva" victory, but in the 90th minute, "Torpedo" player I. Semshov equalized the score.

In the Caucasus derby, Vladikavkaz's "Alania" faced Grozny's "Terek". In the battle of the two outsiders, success accompanied the "Alania" players, who snatched victory with a minimal score and moved out of the relegation zone.

Moscow's "Spartak" played at home against Yaroslavl's "Shinnik", who have recently been successfully taking points from the championship leaders. However, the beginning of this match showed that this time "Shinnik" would have to suffer a defeat. In the 9th minute, a penalty was awarded to "Spartak", which was successfully converted by defender N. Vidic. But just a minute later, another "Spartak" defender, E. Pogatetz, was sent off, who, according to the Russian media, played his last game for "Spartak". However, after E. Pogatetz was sent off, "Spartak" played more actively, but they failed to maintain their lead, as in the 80th minute "Shinnik" forward A. Chazov equalized the score.

In Rostov, the local team faced the UEFA Cup winners, "CSKA", who featured their new signing Dudu. The first half passed in a balanced battle, but in the second half, "CSKA" dominance became evident. Two penalties were awarded to the "Rostov" goal in a span of ten minutes, both of which were successfully converted by I. Olic.

The struggling Samara's "Krylya Sovetov" visited Perm. "Amkar" started these matches very actively and in the 14th minute a penalty was awarded to "Krylya Sovetov", however, "Amkar" failed to convert the chance. It was only in the 70th minute that "Amkar" player N. Zyaitis scored a goal and put his team in the lead. It seemed that "Amkar" would win but after nine minutes, "Krylya Sovetov" equalized the score. The match ended with a score of 1-1, marking the eighth draw for "Amkar" in Perm.

Meanwhile, Moscow's "Dinamo" hosted league debutants, "Tom" players, at their stadium. Throughout the match, the initiative was in the hands of "Dinamo". Two penalties were awarded to "Tom's" goal, but unlike "CSKA", "Dinamo" failed to convert them and had to settle for one point.

Ramenskoye's "Saturn", whose coach changed, faced Moscow's "Lokomotiv", who lost several starting players due to certain reasons. The match started actively but the activity did not result in goals, and the match ended with a score of 0-0.

The final round of matches took place in Kazan. "Rubin" played against St. Petersburg's "Zenit". Throughout the match, "Rubin" players had countless opportunities to score goals, and it seemed that "Zenit" would hold on and celebrate the earned point, but in the second minute of added time, "Rubin" defender A. Skoti snatched victory. After this victory, "Rubin" moved to third place in the league table.
