Round XXVII of the Spanish "Primera" League started with some surprises.
Local team "Real Valladolid" defeated Barcelona players by a narrow margin, who failed to take the opportunity to beat Madrid's "Real" club.
The decisive goal was scored at the beginning of the first half. Victor Valdes was beaten by the hosts' goalkeeper Fausto Rossi in the 17th minute.
Throughout the 90 minutes, the Catalans dominated but could not equalize the score, despite having more chances to score than their opponents. The final result remained 1-0.
In other matches, Madrid's "Atletico" surpassed Vigo's "Celta" team in an away game, winning with a score of 0-2.
Both goals in the capital's team were scored by David Villa. The Spanish player scored goals in the 62nd and 64th minutes.
After this victory, "Atletico" moved Barcelona down to third place, and tomorrow Madrid's "Real" will have the opportunity to secure the leader's position.
