On Monday evening, the last matches of the 1st round of the "SMScredit.lt A league" of Lithuania's new season were played.
The championship rookies faced off at the LFF stadium. The "Trakai" team, which has acquired quite a few well-known Lithuanian footballers, defeated "Klaipėdos Granitas" with a score of 2-0.
The hosts took the lead in the 69th minute with a goal from Nerijus Astrauskas, and just two minutes later, Vytautas Lukša doubled the score.
No more goals were scored in the remaining time, and Edgaras Jankauskas' team secured the first three points.
Earlier in the first round, victories were also achieved by Klaipėda's "Atlantas", Vilnius' "Žalgiris", Pakruojis' "Kruoja", and Gargždai's "Banga".
