Munich's "Bayern" president received a sentence - the court decided that the German will spend the closest 3.5 years in prison.

As previously announced, Uli Hoeness hid 18 million euros from the state, which ended up in an undisclosed bank account.

Initially, reports appeared that the famous footballer could sit in jail for 10 years. The German was also accused of failing to prove the additional 33 million euros he received from 2003-2009.

U. Hoeness could have avoided this sentence, but last year he failed to provide proper documents that would prove his innocence.

It is worth mentioning that the former world champion admitted to the court that he had avoided paying taxes.
