Legendary Brazilian national team footballer Rivaldo announced the end of his career, which lasted almost 23 years.
41-year-old Brazilian has played in his homeland for "Mogi Mirim" club, where he also holds the position of president.
Throughout his career, Rivaldo has worn the jerseys of teams such as La Coruna's "Deportivo", "Barcelona", and "Milan". With the latter club, he reached the pinnacle of the UEFA Champions League in 2003.
"With tears in my eyes, I want to thank everyone who supported me and say that my journey as a footballer is ending," Rivaldo publicly announced on the internet.
In 1999, the former Brazilian national team player was named the best player in the world, and with the national team he triumphed in the 2002 World Cup.
