On Tuesday, two second leg matches of the UEFA Champions League were played, where two more clubs secured their journey in Europe.
One of the most interesting matches took place in London, where local team "Chelsea" faced Istanbul's "Galatasaray". Jose Mourinho's team celebrated a solid victory with a 2-0 result.
In the 4th minute, the "Blues" took the lead when experienced forward Samuel Eto'o scored after a precise pass.
The final goal that secured the victory was scored at the end of the first half. Defender Gary Cahill sealed the game in the 42nd minute.
During the remaining time, the Turkish visitors failed to create any danger, and "Chelsea" progressed to the Champions League quarterfinals with a 3-1 aggregate score.
In the other match, Madrid's "Real" only had formalities to solve. The "Royal" club secured their ticket to the next round with a 9-2 aggregate result.
Cristiano Ronaldo initially put the "Whites" ahead, but in the 31st minute, Gelsenkirchen's "Schalke" managed to equalize. However, the "Real" side scored the final goals in the second half. Once again, C.Ronaldo led Carlo Ancelotti's team forward in the 74th minute, and just a minute later, Alvaro Morata scored the final goal at the "Santiago Bernabeu" fortress.
