London's "Chelsea" coach Jose Mourinho is happy about the club's qualification to the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals and states that they are where they should be.
On Tuesday, the second leg of the round of 16 was played at Stamford Bridge stadium, where the "Blues" defeated Istanbul's "Galatasaray" with a score of 2-0, securing a spot among the top eight strongest teams in Europe.
"Last season, "Chelsea" competed in the Europa League, where the level is lower than the Champions League. Qualifying for the quarterfinals is important for both the players and the club.
"We are a club playing in the Champions League, which is among the top eight strongest on the continent. We are where we should be," said J. Mourinho.
"The players deserved this. It was a tough match because "Galatasaray" is a strong club with experienced footballers. I think we performed excellently," concluded the Portuguese.
The draw for the quarterfinals will be revealed next Friday.
