Cristiano Ronaldo will soon leave another mark in the history of Real Madrid. On Tuesday, the Portuguese national team footballer scored two goals in the Champions League round of 16 match against Schalke in Gelsenkirchen, reaching Ferenc Puskas' record.
C.Ronaldo has now scored 242 goals in 236 matches with Real, the same number as the Hungarian football legend.
At the age of 29, C.Ronaldo achieved this milestone in 25 fewer matches than F.Puskas. Additionally, the Portuguese has been with the club for five years, while the Hungarian played for eight.
C.Ronaldo's goals ignite the passions of fans. He could soon become the only Real player in history to score at least one goal in matches.
His next goal will push him into fourth place on the list of top scorers for Real, behind only Santillana (290), Alfredo di Stefano (307), and Raul (323).
Real defeated Schalke 3-1, advancing to the Champions League quarterfinals with a 9-2 aggregate score.
