On Thursday evening, the second-leg matches of the UEFA Europa League Round of 16 were played in European stadiums, determining the participants of the quarterfinal stage.

Turin's "Juventus" team secured a victory with a minimal result, utilizing their numerical advantage against the "Fiorentina" players.

In the 69th minute, "Viola" team defender Gonzalo Rodriguez was sent off the field, and in the 71st minute, the ball already found the team's net after Andrea Pirlo's goal.

In another match, Valencia's team secured a victory, defeating the Bulgarian "Ludogrets" club after Paco Alcacer's goal, and advancing to the tournament quarterfinals.

Also progressing to the next stage was Lisbon's "Benfica" team, playing a draw at home against the "Tottenham" club, but a significant advantage in the away game was enough to celebrate victory with an overall result of 5 - 3.

Lyon's "Olympique" club also secured a spot in the quarterfinals. The French team lost to the "Viktoria Plzen" players in their away game, but a home victory allowed the Lyon team to move forward.

The previous match between the Dutch "AZ" and Makhachkala's "Anzhi" clubs ended in a goalless draw. The team advancing to the next stage was Alkmaar's city club.

In the later match, "Porto" club played a draw 2 - 2 with the "Napoli" team in an away game, eliminating Rafael Benitez's team from further competition for the trophy. The victory with a minimal win at home was enough for the victory with an overall result.

The match between Seville clubs "Real Betis" and "Sevilla" ended in a tie after regular time, so the battle continued for another half hour. During this time, neither team managed to prove superiority, so the winner was determined by a penalty shootout. Sevilla's team performed better in the penalty shootout and advanced to the tournament quarterfinals.

Zalzburg's "Red Bull" team withdrew from the race for the UEFA Europa League title. The Austrian club had to acknowledge the superiority of the "Basel" players.
