Legendary London attacker decided to end his professional football career.
Last season, the legendary Italian spent playing for his home country team. After a successful season, rumors were circulating that the 39-year-old celebrating his birthday next week, G. Zola, could postpone the end of his career for another year.
"It was difficult for me to decide, but I increasingly wanted to devote myself to what I had neglected during all these years of my career," he said.
The footballer began his career in the team "Nuorese" from the island of Sardinia in 1984. After five years, the talented footballer moved to a "Serie A" club, and in 1996, the Italian was sold to "Chelsea" club for 4.5 million pounds.
