FC Bayern Munich announced on their official club website that they have signed a new contract with center-back Dante, which will be valid until 2017.
The 30-year-old's previous contract was set to expire in the summer of 2016, but the Bavarian team's leaders decided to extend the agreement for another year.
"Coming to Bayern was the best decision of my life," Dante said after signing the contract.
"Everything here is great - the club, the team, the titles, and the atmosphere. Bayern is the perfect club for me, so I am happy to play here until 2017," the Brazilian concluded.
Dante arrived in Munich in 2012, leaving Borussia Monchengladbach. In less than two seasons with the Bavarians, the defender played 80 matches and scored 5 goals.
