Former "Manchester United" footballers, also known as the "Class of '92", have acquired an eighth-tier English football team.
Gary and Phil Neville, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, and Nicky Butt decided to purchase the "Salford City" club.
Recently, rumors spread that initially the plan was to buy the actual "Manchester United" team, but the living club legends settled for an eighth division team.
It is said that "Salford City" will be taken over by Paul Scholes himself, who declined to be David Moyes' assistant.
"I first set foot in this team as an 11-year-old for a trial, and I will never forget what 'Salford City' club means to me. This team symbolizes the early years of my career, dedication, hunger for the game, enthusiasm, passion, and football spirit, so I am very happy with our decision," said G. Neville.
Meanwhile, P. Scholes added: "We know it will be tough, but we will dedicate ourselves to this team from the start. We have interesting ideas for the development of this club."
