Madrid's Atletico club president Enrique Cerezo is not surprised that the list of those interested in acquiring striker Diego Costa is constantly growing.
Recently it was announced that negotiations for the Brazilian-born footballer were started by representatives of London's Chelsea, but the club led by Jose Mourinho is not the only one looking to acquire the striker who is demonstrating excellent form.
"He has spent quite a bit of time with us. Costa has been loaned to several clubs and everywhere he has received only positive feedback," Cerezo said.
"And that means only one thing - he is valuable. That's why many want to buy him," Cerezo emphasized.
"This season he is one of the most productive footballers in Spain and I am sure he will shine with the national team and in Brazil. Costa has worked hard and deserves all the praise," Cerezo added.
This season, 25-year-old D. Costa has scored 24 goals in 29 matches in the Spanish Primera division, trailing only Cristiano Ronaldo, who has 27 accurate strikes.
