The FIFA Confederations Cup tournament ended - in the final, the world champion Brazil's national team crushed their eternal rival Argentina, avenging the defeat in the World Cup qualifiers and became the cup winner for the second time.

Brazil 4 - 1 Argentina 11' [1 - 0] Adriano 16' [2 - 0] Kaka 47' [3 - 0] Ronaldinho 63' [4 - 0] Adriano 65' [4 - 1] Pablo Aimar

The teams started cautiously and did not rush to attack in the first ten minutes. In the 11th minute, Brazilian forward Adriano received the ball about 20 meters from the goal and, deceiving one defender, disarmed the Argentine goalkeeper G. Lux with a powerful shot.

Just five minutes later, Brazil doubled their lead in a similar episode to scoring the first goal - receiving the ball near the penalty box, Kaka turned around and shot accurately into the corner of the goal.

Argentina immediately responded with a lightning-fast attack, but striker C. Delgado, who invaded the penalty box, could not outsmart the goalkeeper Dida, who managed to eliminate the danger. Shortly after, J. Riquelme took a dangerous shot, but the ball passed by the post.

After the break, in the second minute, Cicinho on the right side deceived the defender, made a pass into the penalty area, where Ronaldinho, running in, sent the ball into the goal from seven meters and made the score overwhelming.

A few moments later, L. Figueroa nearly scored an own goal, F. Coloccini shot over the goal on the other side of the field, and after a Brazilian counterattack, Kaka missed a hundred percent chance after his shot was saved by the goalkeeper.

The match became open, with both teams exchanging dangerous attacks - initially Robinho's shot from 16 meters hit the crossbar and post, while in an Argentine attack, L. Figueroa, alone against the goalkeeper, couldn't control the ball.

In the 63rd minute, the Brazilians scored again when Adriano scored his second goal with a header after a long-range pass from Cicinho, becoming the top scorer of the tournament. However, Argentina didn't give up, and just two minutes later, receiving a pass from C. Delgado, P. Aimar headed the ball into the net, softening the result.

The game gradually calmed down, and Argentina began their final assault on the opponent's goal with ten minutes remaining. Initially, Dida saved a shot from Sorin, then caught a shot from Coloccini and saved his goal from Tevez's attempt.

At the end of the match, players who appeared after substitutions exchanged shots on goal - Renato's shot went wide next to the goal, Adriano almost reached the ball, Juninho and L. Galetti took shots from afar, but the result remained the same, and Brazil celebrated an impressive victory.
