Madrid's "Real" left-back Marcelo suffered an injury.
Brazil will not be able to help the royal club in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal match against Borussia Dortmund.
The footballer suffered a calf muscle injury in the weekend match against Rayo Vallecano, which Real won with a crushing result of 5-0.
It is not yet known how long Marcelo will be unable to play, but he will not be able to help the team in the match against Europe's vice-champions on Wednesday.
In the left-back position, Marcelo will be replaced by Portuguese national team player Fabio Coentrao.
