On Tuesday, the 2013-14 season UEFA Champions League quarter-final matches started. Two first matches of this stage were played in European stadiums.

The match at "Old Trafford" stadium between "Manchester United" and Munich "Bayern" received the most attention. The underestimated team of "Red Devils" managed to play a draw against the champions of Germany, 1-1.

In the first half, no goals were scored, but the next 45 minutes were productive and the hosts managed to break the deadlock when Nemanja Vidic scored in the 58th minute.

However, it didn't take long for Josep Guardiola's team to respond, as Bastian Schweinsteiger scored in the 67th minute after a precise pass from Mario Mandzukic.

The Champions League winners in Manchester were eager for a victory and after B. Schweinsteiger's accurate shot attempted to score the winning goal, but the final result remained 1-1.

In the other match, there was a fierce battle with no clear winner. Madrid "Atletico" drew with "Barcelona" away.

In this match, goals were also scored in the second half. In the 56th minute, Diego, who replaced the injured Diego Costa, led the team from the Spanish capital in front with a fantastic shot.

After the goal, "Barca" didn't give up and started to press the opponents, scoring through Neymar in the 71st minute after a precise pass from Andres Iniesta.

During the remaining time, the Catalans demonstrated a great game and pressed the opponents, but no more goals were scored, with the teams separating after each scoring a goal.

The second leg between these teams will take place next Wednesday evening.
